Sunday morning walk, from Rochester castle ,along the esplanade and into batty's marsh then along by the marina and round to the underside of the medway bridge .then a long and meandering walk passed the marshes and the river with cattails all around .Stoped for breakfast, opposite me on the other side of the river was the cement works in halliing ,sausage, bacon ,egg and baked beans and a slice of bread all cooked on my hexie cooker all washed down with a nice mug of coffee .breakfast finished and all pots washed up in the marsh pools, onwards with my walk which continued along the river and eventually came out at wouldham church,by this time it was time for a beer so walked into wouldham and found a pub called the watermans arms and had a pint and harry had a bowl of water. After a short rest we continued on up school lane towards the pilgrims way, from there we took the footpath into the woods, through wouldham common and up a steep hill until we came to a crossroad which we turned left down the north downs route and came across a small wood called the shoulder of mutton(apparently cause of it's shape )after the short wooded walk we carried on down the footpath to nashenden farm where we came out to a road which took me back down towards the medway bridge .Back under the bridge and along to batty's marsh and onto the esplanade and home .wot a great day for me and the dog.
