Sunday's bushcraft day.Walked into halling woods passing court farm and up a very steep hill with tall beech trees all around gripping the side of the steep pathway with it's spreading roots system.Half way up i found a hoof fungus growing on a large beech tree and was very happy as hoof fungus rarely grows in the southeast of england.we continued trough the woods until we came out to a large open field, where we sat down and got the explorer map out to decide the route we was going too take.we choose to walk through horseholders wood, this is where we tapped a birch tree, then up into rochester forest.once we was at the top of rochester forest we decided we would set up the tarps. Gareth lit the tinder bundle using his flint and strike ,and got a brew on.
